WILL BE DOWN beginning 4pm pacific TODAY: January 16, 2003. It's possible that service will resume as early as Friday, but Monday is more likely. The server and DSL service are being moved to a new location and new equipment has been ordered (not yet arrived).

While the server is down, all email to any of the above referenced domains (unless otherwise noted) will be rejected, and requests for websites will result in a "Page not found" error.

Thanks to everyone who helped me move this weekend. - JG

I noticed that I've only gotten 200-300 pieces of email spam a day lately and the sparse personal mail I once received diminished as well. Something geeking out with the goochonline.net mail server. I've devised a workaround. If I haven't responded to email, that's why.

I'm moving soon. Moving to a place where, I hope to God, they have DSL service. Otherwise, this site's going to get a lot smaller. The move means that there will be a total server outage for a day. There are some other sites hosted on the server, I'll break the news to those webmasters probably after they call me complaining that their email/websites are down.

I'm a dick.

I've lost seven pounds since New Years. One hundred thirty-seven, if you count my ex-girlfriend. An ex-girlfriend who, by the way, is awesome for letting me keep the server here until I migrate it over to the new residence, reducing down time. An unlikely hero of the cyberworld.

It's always on the days that I need to get to work that I decide to sleep in. Total elapsed time from eyes opening in bed to ass in office chair: 37 minutes.

That Andy Richter show is the funniest goddamned show on television right now. Simpsons is funny, but worn out (and the writers know it).

If you like rap, particularly the white boyed honkified style of rap like Bloodhound Gang, Beastie Boys, Will Smith, etc... Check out Satyricon on January 14th. It's a work night, so call in sick for the 15th. The show will include Perfect in Plastic, Buttery Lords, and Cool as Cucumbers; all Portland acts. Fun!

I'm moving next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I just found out that I'm moving my office desk as well as a lot of others on Wednesday and Thursday. Five days of moving?

Fuck. If I wanted to do manual labor, I wouldn't have gone to college.

There's nothing like passing pieces of liver through your urinary tract after a night of binge drinking. BIG PROPS to G-Mo for being my designated driver that night. Oh... my efforts to avoid hangover failed miserafuckingbly. Head of Lies, DFiVE9, and Plain Jayne put on a fantastic show. It seemed like everyone at Ash Street knew everyone and it was like one big house party, except you had to pay for drinks (not champagne, though) and I didn't break any furniture.

This report refers to an "average 150 pound male." I don't know any males that weigh 150 pounds. Unless they're doing drinking studies on twelve-year-olds, science needs to keep up with us fat americans.

To avoid a hangover tomorrow, I resorted to a low carb-high fat diet. When I was on the Atkins diet a while back, I noticed that no matter how much I drank, I could still get to work early the next day - no hangover. I haven't been able to do that since I was 11.

Stuart Wylen Trio is one of the best Jazz acts in Portland playing at one of the greatest lounges in Portland. DFiVE9, Head of Lies, and Plain Jayne are great bands by themselves, but tonight have formed a superpower to unleash at Ash Street.

Christmas Night: After my indulgent foray into the world of 7-Eleven Big Bite hot dogs (with cheese sauce, a culinary delight I'm giving up for New Years) I decided to make a trip to the credit union to deposit some of my Christmas loot. Insert Card; Choose English or Espanol... Engligh was pressed and the entire system locked up with my card inside. A high pitched tone taunted me. Fortunately I had the cash I intended to deposit in my hand. I looked for the Ctrl-Alt-Del key combination to reboot the ATM to no avail. I'm without a check card and it sucks. I need to scrounge up some cash for tonight's debauchery; I'm down to five bucks.
