MINORITY RETORT

Protests seek officer's arrest in taped beating
I'm not sure as to what YMIKE searches for when he's on EBAY, but this item he forwarded to me made me whip out my Visa: CLICK HERE
I told the manager of my favorite breakfast house that he should start selling a "John Denver Omelette." He thought about it, then told me that my idea wouldn't fly.

From the STARWARS.com website:

[FAN] I don't see Christopher Walken or Gabriel Byrne in the Episode II cast list. What happened to their parts?

[ROBIN GURLAND] Neither Christopher Walken nor Garbriel Byrne were ever cast in Episode II... it was a figment of a fan's imagination.

I'm not sure why, or for what reason that the Star Wars camp is being less than honest with its loyal fans. So by the powers vested in me by the International Video Pirate Foundation, I present to you the following screen shots from an early Episode 2 trailer:

Before there was "Gooch: The Column" in the Portland State University newspaper, The Vanguard, there was "Gooch and Mike: The Column" in the Franklin High School newspaper, The Post. Mike's birthday is today. Happy Birthday, Mike.
"The sad part about this is that the light is being directed on him," she said. "Instead, it should be directed on the young man who was mistreated in the video."
Pat Crooks, Mitchell Crooks Mother

Mitchell Crooks was arrested Thursday on outstanding warrants and admitted to a hospital early Friday for treatment of injuries. Crooks is, of course, the man who videotaped the beating-filled arrest of 16-year-old Donovan Jackson in Inglewood, California.

Anyone who has had to deal with a District Attorney's office and the police at the same time will know that both organizations are out to A: help each other to do as little work as possible and B: cover each others' asses.

The police are claiming that the slamming of Jackson on the trunk of the police car and the subsequent punching was justified because Jackson grabbed officer Jeremy Morse's groin and wouldn't let go. Mitchell's video doesn't show that, but does show another officer appearing to block any further punches by Morse, indicating to me that one officer's idea of a justified assault didn't meet the other's.

Mitchell Crooks being arrested Thursday evening outside the CNN offices. He could be heard screaming "help" as he was driven away.

Does anyone else think it's odd that a Ford Explorer with blacked out windows was sent to pick up Crooks instead of, say, a POLICE CAR. Crooks is no angel, but this entire situation stinks.

I saw Spiderman last night. Good flick, better than the trailers, if you ask me. It's funny, Peter Parker gets bitten by a spider, and the result is the chance to bang Kirsten Dunst. I, myself, received a spider bite this week. I would take a picture, except that it's so close to my balls that the effort to take the picture wouldn't be worth the visual. However, if you can imagine a red, scaly nipple on my inner thigh, you'll get the idea.

I'm getting on a plane today. Check out my Airlines Suck columns in the columns link above.
