Well, the first real updates to the site have taken place: The Pictures link has been restored and the Webcam is in the house. My house, to be specific. See DFiVE9 tonight.
Oh yeah... Shouts out to the peeps at University of Michigan and Brandeis hittin' my shiznit. I have no idea what I just said, but if you're from one of those colleges, email me and let me know what a real college feels like.

Oh... I only received ONE possible death threat this week. If you're looking to assassinate me, I'll be at the DFiVE9 show tonight:

Friday, February 15th - The Meow Meow - 527 SE Pine Street - Portland, OR 97214 with Inflikt, Syx, Five Foot Thick - All Ages, 9PM, $7 at the door, $2 off with flyer

As I write this, it's 6:10am, pst. I'm not working today as my hours of employment have been changed to exclude the hours of Friday. Some people might complain about the prospect of being "underemployed," but I'm embracing the break. I woke up at 5:15am only to find that I couldn't go back to sleep. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning wanting to cherish every moment of the day ahead. I've already watched Pinky and the Brain and am contemplating an early morning douching of my car. Or my room (see photo below). Also, my webcam was sort of failing from the get-go. I'm taking the cam back to Circuit Shitty and am contemplating a trip to Mecc... Fry's for more, cheaper cameras. I could have the following cams:

Insomnia Cam: Watch me watching infomercials at 3am

Column Cam: Nope, it's not slow motion... It's me churning out another column.

Newspaper Delivery Cam: (placed 50 feet from my front door) I can get on the internet and see where my paper landed.

I think it's car cleaning time. - g.

The cam page is HERE. This is probably the dumbest thing I've done with the site, but wtf?
I'm leaving this webcam pic on for a while, since I won't be in the home office much today. This is cool, though; I was able to flip my Dad off in real time this morning. I guess I should pay for the software, or someone could cheerfully donate the funds.. Wow, I look like shit. I don't know why I bought the stupid thing. I did have an awful day yesterday, filled with personal attacks and even a threat made over the phone by a guy who rear-ended me a couple of weeks ago. There is such a thing, I think, as "Geek Therapy," where instead of paying a shrink $150/hour, you go out and buy something for the computer and spend that hour trying to figure it out. Once someone got my DSL router working, I didn't have that to screw with. Maybe I should have him undo it just so I can try to fix it again. Next "Goochcam" upload is at 1pm. I guess.
I'll be working out of the home office a lot more. Finally got the stupid webcam set up. You'll have to refresh from time to time. Britney Spears is painful to listen to in an interview. I just watched a cable access show where a girl (almost a high school graduate) asked people over and over again what they think of the "negative stigmatism of hip hop." Idiot: Stigmatism involves the working of the eyes. You're thinking of stigmata.

Idiot.

Mad props to Aracnet for providing decent ISP service and Greg Moore for helping me set up my web server. I've gone from not having an email address (my first email address was psu17190@odin.cc.pdx.edu in 1998) to having a web server set up in my crib in a little more than three years.
